Persian Room

Persian Room

The Persian Room was the main dining room of the Royal Hawaiian from its initial construction until it was replaced with the Monarch Room in the 1940s.

As its name implies, the octagonal room was decorated in Persian style: with Persian tiles on the floor and columns and rugs from Tunis, Africa, Persia and Holland. Its walls were covered with green Holland tile with hand painted ornamental inserts from Italy and Persia.

The Persian Room opened up on three sides to bring the sounds of the nearby beach in.
