In Hawaiian, “Wahi Pana” are locations or sites that are legendary, celebrated or noteworthy. Sometimes translated as “storied places,” wahi pana are historic and cultural resources of the Hawaiian Islands. The Stewards program provides an opportunity to support Historic Hawai‘i Foundation’s efforts to preserve and protect storied places by committing to give a monthly donation.

Yes, monthly donations deducted from your credit card or PayPal account take the place of your annual membership donation.
Yes! You may log directly into your monthly giving account to change the amount of your monthly contribution, your payment method, or to discontinue monthly deductions. You may call our membership team at 808-523-2900 with any questions.
There are many. You won’t receive renewal notices in the mail (which helps Historic Hawai‘i Foundation conserve resources) and never have to worry about membership renewal dates. The consistent monthly support will allow HHF to plan for the future and the monthly installments make it easy for you. You’ll receive exclusive preservation updates twice a year, special invitations and discount pricing on eligible events. And, as a Wahi Pana Steward Monthly Member, you’ll be part of a community of members committed to preserving Hawaii’s historic places.
Yes. Historic Hawai‘i Foundation will provide you with an annual summary in January of each year noting your total contributions for the previous calendar year. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
