Abstract
Built in 1910, this two-story clapboard covered wood frame structure has a hipped roof with dormers, wide over hanging eaves and a wide upper and lower story lanai situated along three sides of the building. The interior features high ceilings, large rooms, paneled beams and columns, and an attic that was once used as a ballroom. The Waianae Plantation Manager’s House is significant for its early association with the Waianae Sugar Plantation. Its architectural design, style, and size reflect its place in the unique social history of the area.
