Abstract
Built in 1953, this two and one-half-story house has an L-shaped plan, a flat roof, and concrete and wood walls. The interior features include canec ceilings, single pane sliding doors, large fixed window panes, decorative sandstone, tongue and groove redwood walls, and built-in desk, vanity, and storage cabinets. The Cyrus and Amy Loo Residence is an example of a modern style residence constructed in Hawaii in the 1950s. It is also an example of the work of Vladimir Ossipoff, master architect.
