Abstract
Built in 1927, this two-story cottage has clapboard siding, open overhanging eaves with exposed rafter tails, a round arch entry arcade and front door, and exhibits Asian design influences in the flared roof shape. The interior features ohia wood floors, built-in bookcases, and canec ceilings and walls. The Edwin and Maude Benner residence is an example of a Colonial Revival style residence with vernacular “Hawaiian style” influences. It is also an example of the work of architect Mark Potter.
