Abstract
This residence, built in 1927, is a one-story Craftsman bungalow with a three bay rectangular plan, a gable roof, broad overhanging eaves with exposed rafters and knee braces and exterior walls that are covered in clapboard. The interior retains many decorative features of the original structure including tongue and groove hardwood floors and canec ceilings. The Gladding Residence is significant for its association with the development of Manoa Valley and is an example of a Craftsman style bungalow built in Hawaii during the 1920s.
