Abstract
The former Puʻunēnē School is a two-story, concrete building originally constructed in 1922 at the heart of a thriving plantation community. The building has nineteen classrooms and two school offices. Puʻunēnē School is significant as a surviving architectural example of a school from the early twentieth century on Maui and for its role in the history of education on Maui.
