Abstract
Built in 1927, the Minnie Churchill Residence is a single story cottage with gable roof line, walls built of wood framing with stucco on metal mesh, and an arched window on the front facade. The interior features a 12 foot high arched ceiling and built-in cabinets in the main room, with decorative mouldings, baseboards, and high ceilings throughout. The Minnie Churchill Residence is significant because it reflects the type of suburban community development occurring in Honolulu in the 1920s. The house is also an example of a distinctive type, period and method of construction.
