Abstract
The Kawabata Homestead Family House has a simple rectangular plan, double-pitched gable roof, and a front porch. The walls are board and batten on two facades and cedar shingles on the weather-facing facades. The house was moved in May of 2005. The house is significant as a fine example of a vernacular Hawaiian Paniolo-style cowboy homestead.
