New Research will Review Hawaii’s Mid-century Historic Resources

Historic Hawai‘i Foundation has launched a major research project to prepare a context statement about historic resources from post-World War II through the 1960s. The Modern and Recent Past Context Statement will contribute to Hawaii’s understanding of buildings, landscapes, infrastructure and other historic resources from the mid-20th century, including regional expressions of the Modern movement, and will guide efforts to identify and preserve significant historic resources from this era.
