Abstract
The Kapaa School campus is a largely modern complex, but four buildings dating from the 1920s to the early 1940s remain. These four single-story, wooden buildings retain integrity of location, design, materials, workmanship, feeling, and association. These buildings relate to developments in public education in the Territory of Hawaii, the architecture of Kauai’s Public Schools, and the specific history of the settlement of the Kapaa area.
