Brady Evans is an illustrator and comic artist born, raised and working in Honolulu. With a strong interest in manga and other forms of sequential imagery and storytelling, Evans often creates narratives and explores themes of death, humor and humanity within the natural and supernatural worlds. In 2013-2014, Evans curated “Crossing Cultures: The Art of Manga in Hawaiʻi” an exhibition which showcased the art of twelve Hawaiʻi-based comic artists and writers whose work was influenced by Japanese comics and culture. He received a BFA in drawing from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in 2012 and is a recipient of the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts Recognition Award in 2015.
