Abstract
The Henry Residence meets the register criterion C. Architecturally, this house is of artistic value and is one of the best examples of a mid-century modern home that existed in this area, built by a master architect – Vladimir Ossipoff. The style is usually associated with a low pitched gabled roof with wide eaves, exposed roof beams, natural building materials, broad sections of uninterrupted wall surface – typically on the front facade, an entry door that is usually hidden from view, and an overall asymmetrical appearance. This house is significant on the local level for the period of 1944 – 1961 when the home was designed and built by Vladimir Osippoff and then adapted by Ossipoff again in 1961.
