Abstract
The Chun residence meets the register Criterion A and C. The Chun Residence has contributed to the broad patterns of development in the history of Hawaii during a time of tremendous growth of the outlying neighborhoods of Honolulu in the late 1920s. Architecturally, this house is of artistic value and is one of the few remaining examples of the Craftsman style homes that existed in this area. It holds distinctive characteristics of a type, period and method of construction. This house is significant on the local level for the period of 1925 and 1926 when the lot was purchased and the residence was constructed.
