Abstract
The Grove Farm site consists of domestic buildings in addition to the buildings that were necessary for the sugar plantation. Grove Farm shows the development of a sugar plantation, and its earliest structure is the original house which pre-dates 1854. Grove Farm is the finest example in Hawaii of a complete plantation operation still in its original form. Grove Farm features Hawaiian architecture of varying ages and functions, native Hawaiian woods in its buildings, and a collection of early furnishings, household goods, tools, machinery, and equipment.
