Abstract
The Bishop First National Bank (Bishop National Bank of Hawaii) is a single-story concrete structure that retains the majority of its original exterior appearance; however the interior has been extensively remodeled. The exterior features Ionic columns, a dentil cornice with crown molding, a partially balustraded parapet, and central stairs leading to the raised first floor entrance. The interior has a coffered ceiling, and in the center of the ceiling is a rectangular skylight with a molded frame. The Bishop First National Bank was designed by John Mason and built by J.L. Young Engineering Company, this branch at one time served the entire island of Kaua‘i.
