Abstract
The Halaulani District Multiple Property Nomination is for the houses located on Halaulani Place in Hilo, Hawaii. Halaulani Place was built between 1917 and 1960. It is considered one of the preeminent residential locations on Hawaii Island. The residences feature the work of many renowned architects.  It was highly influential in the growth and development of Hilo. In addition, to architecture and growth many of the houses orignial residents were significant in the history of Hawaii. Many of the houses feature bungalow tradition with the sole exception being the Lyman Home that was built in the Colonial Revival style.
